They were absolutely horrible! I would never open an account with them! I went there to cash an insurance check with two other family members that were on the check. Our insurance company banks with BOA and we do not. They would not cash it because they did not have enough money. It was only $4000. We asked for a cashier's check so we could deposit it into my account at another bank and they stated that they would only issue a cashier's check to a customer. Their website and customer service stated that a cashier's check is $20 for non-customers. We explained that we could not go to another branch because I had to get my children from the bus and my mother was very ill and it was hard enough for her to get to the bank in town. No sympathy or compassion. I was able to get the kind manager at TD Bank across the street to deposit the check into my account. She made an exception because the three of us weren't on the same account. That is called customer service.
Stay away! They refuse to honor there own checks? No integrity!
they're very friendly, a little on the slow side... but my major concern is that they kinda coerced me into opening up a credit card with them when i wanted to close my account. the credit card is fine... but BofA no longer exists in most of PA west of here. It was kindof a silly choice for me.
BofA closed the branch across from Doylestown hospital which was conveniently just off 611, and then forced all patrons of that branch to switch to the Mercer Square branch. The closed branch offered multiple ATM machines, safe deposit boxes and no lines. The Mercer Square branch has only one drive up ATM and typically has lines inside the branch. If the Mercer Square branch is not upgraded within the next year, I will regretfully move my accounts to another bank that offers better service.
HORRIBLE service. So slow. Waited 5 minutes in drive through line before anyone greeted/ helped me. Then took another 5-10 to process my transaction. Didn't even apologize for the wait. Do NOT bank here.
