Love this store. It's small and everything looks delicious. Staff is very friendly.
Carolee in the cheese department was amazing today (and probably every day). She made me a gorgeous cheese plate from pieces I picked out. While I was waiting, a few people walked up, knew her by name, and asked for her recommendations and what's new among the cheeses. She is clearly beloved by her regulars and an absolute asset for maintaining the knowledgeable and friendly service that Doylestonians demand.
Normally I am very happy with Simply Fresh but today was not a favorable day. One staff person was extremely nasty after I mentioned that one of their samples was not pleasant tasting. She resented my comment. Maybe because it turned my stomach that produced a negative reaction and it annoyed her. Normally if I do not like something I just quietly dispose of it. Today was a moment that warrant a comment as I thought maybe it had gone bad. Oh well.
Love this place. Great choice of ready-to-heat meals. Parking lot is extremely tiny. Very difficult finding a place to park. Hopefully they'll relocate to a different part of town in the future.
The spirit of the whole store is marvelous..love, love the cheese counter. Great selection, very knowledgeable purveyors. I always find something else in the store I can't find elsewhere..today it was crabmeat from USA. .hallelujah
