That place is not what they say it is , i was at that living hell for only 9 months. The RTF staff are abusive, uncaring, impatient, unprofessional and they are also bullies to RTF residents. I have witnessed my friend name nicholas price getting beat up by two RTF residents and the staff just watched. That place is nothing but a disgrace, the RTF staff only come for their paychecks and FBH food is completely disgusting. Foundations behavioral health has to be closed down permanently.
I was there 5 yrs ago and i was 10 yrs old and i hated that place with a passion and when i was there one staff gave me a big huge bruise on my forearm because they dragged me out of the room and they told me to stay quiet or they are taking me out of the room and i said why and then they dragged me. then there was a girl there and she was choking me and hitting me and the teachers there didnt do anything about it i hated there so much and im almost 15 and im still in placement but it sucks
I was on unite 19 for roughly 9 months not long ago, and although there were some staff that were obviously just there for the checks, there were way more there that showed great support and encouragement. My first few weeks there were extremely hard and I had a lot of anxiety. Two particular staff members, Kyle and Todd, always took time to make sure I got a decent timed support walk no matter the weather. There were so many other great staff who deserve recognition for what they do and have done, these are just the 2 who have helped me most throughout my darkest times and have honestly helped me find myself while in RTF! (As for unit 20 - shout out to Miss. Megan, Mr. Billy and Mr. A-A-Ron
As a previous patient of FBH I can say that is by far the worst behavioiral health center ever. That wasn't my first hospitalization either. For starters you were allowed one phone call every other night. In emergencies when I needed to get in touch with my parents, I wasn't allowed to. The staff didn't keep a good eye on the patients there, many of them we self harming themselves and the staff didn't do anything. There were numerous fights while I was there and the staff would wait to get involved until someone was really hurt. They had a teacher there to help teach the kids and this teacher upset most of the patients in the room including me. This teacher would yell at us triggering some of the patients and instigate the patients causing multiple fights between patients and the teacher. Not to mention but the food there was absolutely disgusting. They didn't care about the patients dietary restrictions. I wouldn't even give that food to animals. The staff there was extremely rude to patients and their parents. When I was first admitted my parents had brought me clothes, I had to wait three days to get my clothes. In that time I had to continue to wear the same clothes over and over. The rooms are disgusting filled with writing all over the walls and they are smelly. The psychiatrists talk to you for five minutes and then put you on a bunch of medications. They did this to me and my parents weren't informed about it until I told them!! This place is a disgrace! I would NOT send your kid there!!
I can't say enough good about this place. Caring, professional, friendly. My child was at 2 other facilities and this is like a country club compared to them. I highly recommend it!!
